Why Is All This Happening?

Our nation and other countries are in troublous times. Things seems very chaotic and people are fearful, wondering will this ever come to an end. But know that our Lord is at work and those that trust in Him can rest in Him for He has all things under control.

To that note there are consequences for disobedience to God's commands.

God created earth for us and gave us good things, everything He made was good (see Genesis Chapter 1). He expected us to do right by these good things and honor Him by keeping His commandments. But, in turn we turn away from Him and everything He commanded us to do. Our lives are too busy and wickedness abounds all around. When we are too lofty He brings us down.

Isaiah 26:5 KJV

5. For he bringeth down them that dwell on high; the lofty city, he layeth it low; he layeth it low, even to the dust.

Ezekiel 14:13,21

13. Son of Man when the land sinneth against me by trespassing grievously, then will I stretch out mine hand upon it, and will break the staff of bread thereof, and will send famine upon it, and will cut off man and beast from it:

21. For thus saith the Lord God; How much more when I send my four sore judgments upon Jerusalem, the sword, and the famine, and the noisome beast and the PESTILENCE, to cut off from it man an beast?

I made pestilence all caps for a reason. COVID-19 is a pestilence, So that means judgment is sent into the earth because the land has sinned against God. The sword is with it cutting off man and beast from the earth. Animals and Humans can contract this deadly pestilence that's sweeping our nation and other countries.

But those that are in Him can rest. He has given us instruction through His word when he is working.

Isaiah 26:3, 20-21 Psalm 91

3. Thou will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.

God requires us to be still while He's at work.

20-21. Come, my people, enter thou into thy chambers, and shut the doors about thee: hide thyself as it were for a little moment, until the indignation be overpast. For, behold, the Lord cometh out of His place to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity: the earth also shall disclose her blood, and shall no more cover her slain.

There is protection in this troubling time for those who trust in God's Word

Psalm 91:1, 3-7, 9-10, 15 KJV

1.He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

3 Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.

4 He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.

5 Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;

6 Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.

7 A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.

9 Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation;

10 There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.

15 He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.

We are covered that trust in His plans.

I pray for that we endure in this troubling time and trust God at His Word.
