Royal Brat 🫢

Greetings!

I wanted to share something that took me away when I realized what I was doing.

One day I was basically whining to God about something that I think He should have done. I felt like well You said in Your WORD this, that and the third. Just going on and on and on.

Then it hit me 🫩 I sound like those Royal children on those Prince and Princess movies that always want their way.

The Princess be like Daddy I don’t think it’s fair. I want I want I want!!

The Prince is always running from his duties to be the next king of the kingdom that will be passed down.

When I look at these movies sometimes I say they are so selfish and spoiled. Give your dad and mom some grace. They are doing the best they can with your ungrateful self.

Boy, not realizing that I was acting just like that. It is easy to look at some else and not yourself.

The reason this blog is titled Royal Brat is that those who have accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior are Royal. Why? The I AM (God) is King and Jesus is His Son.

For God is the King of all the earth: sing ye praises with understanding. Psalm 47:7

Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory for ever and ever. Amen. 1 Timothy 1:17

We who are God’s Royal children, His heirs.

But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light: 1 Peter 2:9

“The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: and if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.”

Do you find yourself doing as I was? Always throwing something up in God’s face when things are not as we think it should be.

He knows ALL. He knows why we are being tested in an area of our life.

Just like those Kings in the movies, when we are being bratty, God let us have at it.

Why? Cause we have a choice to do or not to do.

In the end of the movie they come to terms that the Kingdom is more important than what they were desiring. The Princess stops her spoiled pouting and the Prince accepts his responsibility as the next heir to the throne.

We must do the same. The Kingdom work of God should be top priority in our lives.

Whether you are facing to accept the call of God into ministry and just like the Prince you are running from your responsibility of the Kingdom.

Or whether you want a certain thing to happen in your life be it healing, house, car, finances or etc. and you have been pouting like a spoiled bratty Princess or Prince cause it hasn’t come to pass yet.

When we realize that everything is in God’s timing, things will go a lot smoother. We won’t be so anxious. We must learn to wait on God.

I had that epiphany not to long ago. Now every time the temptation arise to complain. I think about the Royal movies and say nope not going to be a Royal Brat.

Help me to be still Father God.

Father God we need your help to be still while you are working.

Please allow us to hear ourselves in the midst of our complaining that we may stop and repent of it. We ask for a spirit of gratitude no matter what we are facing. In Jesus name 🙏🏽🙇🏽‍♀️
