LOVE IS THE REASON

God’s LOVE in action:

Your LOVE: Created Earth for mankind to dwell in.

Your LOVE: Stayed even though mankind disobeyed in the garden.

Your LOVE: Set the course to bring mankind back in relationship with You.

Your LOVE: Sent an angel to proclaim to a virgin named Mary that she will conceive and bear a son. His name shall be called Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins.

And so it happened, Jesus was born in Bethlehem, listened and asked questions of the teachers in the temple at the age of 12, started ministry at the age of 30. Taught the ways of the Father for three years.

Why? For our sakes. Jesus endured constant opposition of religious leaders on the account of teaching God’s people the WAY. He wanted to show us the LOVE that Father God showed Him.

Jesus’ LOVE: Carried out redemptions plan for mankind by laying down His life for His FRIENDS.

John 15:13  Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

Jesus’ LOVE Expressed:

5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.

7 He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth.

8 He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation? for he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken.

Isaiah 53:5-8

Easter as it is called, is so much more than eggs, chickens, bunny rabbits and candy. Or dressing up in Sundays best and cooking a feast. This is how the WORLD sees it. But for the believer it is the FINISH work of God’s plan to reconcile His people back in to relationship with Him through the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ’s sacrifice on the cross. His BODY and BLOOD matters!

Brothers and Sisters LOVE is the reason He did it!

I pray that this blog will make us take a deeper look at EASTER, RESURRECTION SUNDAY, HOLY WEEK, and truly thank God for the LOVE He showed and continue to show towards us.
