Distractions Distractions!!

ESV

1 Peter 4:12

Beloved, do not be surprised at the fiery trial when it comes upon you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you.

1 Peter 5:8

Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.

In this season distractions for the saints are very heavy. You may be experiencing difficulties in certain areas of your life right now, or it may be that every time you set your mind to pray, read the Word or even execute whatever that has been placed in your hands by God, something else catches your attention.

We may be even consumed by the events that is taking place right now in our current world, the earth seems to be rocking and reeling with all manner of war, diseases, food shortages (famine) and pestilence (COVID-19 & it's Variants).

These things have been forewarned unto us as children of God that they would come. ( war, diseases, earthquakes, famine, pestilence & etc.) Don't be distracted by them, this is the work of God. (see Matthew 24:6-7)

The scriptures reminds us that fiery trials (DISTRACTIONS) were coming, but don't be surprised. The reason behind these distractions is to keep us from carrying out the purpose that God has for us in the earth. Do you not know that "DISTRACTION is a PURPOSE KILLER."

Satan is prowling around to see whom he can devour (DISTRACT) by either something going on in our lives or by whatever chaos the world is presenting before us. We are encouraged through the Word to be sober-minded and watchful to the wicked devices of our adversary the devil.

We are not to let worldly event such as: social media(computers, tablets & phones), tv,

games and other entertainment, even personal events taking place in our life keep us from spending time with God. Be careful taking certain phone calls whether it's family or not. Satan uses whatever and whomever to distract us from carrying out the will of God.

I have been in the space of distractions recently, in prayer the

Holy Spirit revealed what was going on. I was then able to rebuke the adversary (devil) and refocus on the task at hand.

If this message of distractions is resonating with you, say this prayer with me.

In the name of Jesus, teach us Father how to discern when a distraction has come our way. That we may be able to recognize what is happening and rebuke the adversary quickly. We cast down all the snares of distractions that is taking place now and we say Satan the LORD rebuke thee.
