Got Christ?

If Christ was to come back today. Will you be ready to go with Him?

This question is one to consider being most important in this walk of life.

If you ask most people, their response will be something like this. “ l would like to think that I am a good person so I would say that I am ready.”

Some may say, “I try to treat others right. I think that’s pretty good enough.”

But just being a good person or trying to treat others right doesn’t qualify us entry into the Kingdom of Heaven. It is a relationship with the Father.

How do you get to that relationship?

It’s by accepting Jesus Christ as our Lord and savior. Jesus is the Son of God. It is Jesus whom God sent to save us from our life of sin.

The Bible records in Matthew 3:17 when Jesus was baptized by John the Baptist that a voice (God) spoke from heaven:

“and lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.”

Jesus spoke Himself and said this:

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. John 14:6

There is no way around it. Relationship with God is REQUIRED through Jesus Christ?

So the question is: Got Christ? Are we BORN AGAIN? Accepting the Holy Ghost (Spirit) as our guide in this life.

Jesus was talking to a certain Pharisee named Nicodemus which had questions about who He was. But Jesus’s reply was this:

Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. John 3:3

Being BORN AGAIN is letting go of our old way of thinking and allowing the Spirit of God to wash, renew, and guide us in His ways.

For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons (children) of God. Romans 8:14

Are we letting God’s Spirit guide us?

Did you not know that the Holy Ghost (Spirit) gets His information from Jesus? Who does Jesus get His information from? FATHER GOD!!!

¹³But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. ¹⁴ He will glorify me because it is from me that he will receive what he will make known to you. ¹⁵ All that belongs to the Father is mine. That is why I said the Spirit will receive from me what he will make known to you.” John 16:13-15

Without accepting Jesus as our Lord and savior there can’t be a relationship with Father God to receive His Spirit that guides us into all truth.

We need Jesus period! He will return for the church to receive them to Himself. Will we be identified as apart of His church when He comes? The question is Got Christ?

If you have not accepted Christ Jesus as your Lord and Savior, today is that opportunity to do so.

If you once were apart of the Body of Christ but have left the assembly, today is the opportunity to reconnect to God through accepting Christ Jesus again.

Read these scriptures:

Romans 10:8-13

⁸ But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;

⁹ That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

¹⁰ For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

¹¹ For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.

¹² For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.

¹³ For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

If when reading these scriptures you said within your heart I want a relationship with Christ.

Then do as the scripture says in verse 9

Confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus.

“Jesus you are Lord and whom God have sent to save me from my sins.” “I believe in my heart that you died for me and that God have raised you from the dead.”

By this confession and believing of the heart, the scripture says :

For whoever calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved!!!
