Matthew 25:1-13
There may be some that is familiar with Matthew Chapter 25 dealing with the parable of the Five Wise and Five Foolish Virgins. This passage of scriptures deal with the returning of Christ for the CHURCH who is ready for Him. Unfortunately some will be left.
As in the last post Wake Up: The End Is Near the same applies here in this blog message.
A warning that Jesus is soon to return and we must have our house in order.
Some are not mindful of the times we are living in. Thinking when Christ return that there will still be time to repent. This is not scripturally so.
Matthew 25: 1-13 clarifies that we will not have time to repent when Jesus returns for us.
Lets take a look at the Five Wise and Five Foolish Virgins actions.
Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom(1) And five of them were wise, and five were foolish.(2)
They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them:(3) But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. (4) While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept.(5) And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him(Jesus).(6) Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps.(7) And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out.(8) But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves. (9) And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him(Jesus) to the marriage: and the door was shut.(10) Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us.(11) But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not.(12) Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.
As we see the five foolish virgins were not prepared for the bridegroom's (Jesus) return, but when he came they tried to be in order (repent), it was too late. They were rejected to go in to the marriage feast.
You may say what caused them to be rejected?
First thing is no oil, Oil is symbolic of Faith & the Holy Spirit in this passage.
Without faith it is impossible to please God (See Hebrews 11:6).
If you reject His Word then you cannot be filled with His Spirit.
The Father's Spirit is how He identifies us with Him. So if we do not fully accept the Word which was given to us by His Son Jesus the Christ, and willing to have God's Spirit dwelling on the inside...
The bible says in Romans 8:9 about the end of the verse, Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.
But if we are willing to follow Him all the way and accept Him as our Lord and Savior, then Romans 8:14 says, For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. Meaning your are His children.
I leave you with this. Jesus gave a warning to us in Revelation Chapter 22:12.
BEHOLD I COME QUICKLY AND MY REWARD IS WITH ME, TO GIVE EVERY MAN ACCORDING AS HIS WORK SHALL BE.
I encourage us on today to Watch Out! Don't Miss the eternal glory that God has given unto us.
God Bless,
